The sun is setting
I feel the warmth fading away
I can feel it brush past my fingertips
And it's gone
I was watchingI was trying to say
I wish we could hold on
To that last bit of sunshine
It could still make my day
To that last ray of hope
Before it went astray
And I feel like a little bit of me is dying
And I feel like a lit bit of me isn't there
I feel it all again,
I feel it all one last time
I'll still need to see your face
How am I supposed to say goodbye
Is this really how it ends
You were my ecstasy
My first drop of pain
Oh it's just hit me
That you've not been there
For a long time
For a long time
And I've watched the sun set
And I've felt you wash over me and away
I felt the kiss of your lips
On my heart, on my heart
And now you're done
And now you're done with me,
It's fading away
You were my sunshine
And now you are the rain.
So I guess this means this is the last post on this blog. It feels like when someone punches the wind out of you. It feels like you felt when you first fell in love, but instead of that giddy feeling of wholesomeness, you feel empty. I'm disappointed, but I wouldn't trade a second of away. I loved you.

Always
I can't tell you just how far it is
If we could judge by time alone
When I talk about the sunrise
You've missed the morning too
You've never up in time to see it
But sooner than later my love
I'll wake you in the morning
And see to it that you do
I couldn't tell you how long it's been
For then I'd be counting days
Every morning to another night
And the tricks my mind plays
I can't tell you how I miss you
Hang up the phone and cry
I can't tell you how I miss you
For then I'll need to know
I can't remember tomorrow
I cannot fucking know
I love you and I want you
As long as it's today
So far yet so close.

Really
It doesn't seem like that a long time
That we complain of flying by
I wake up and I know that I
Have all day ahead of me
And you'll be there, in the morning
Smiling down at me
And then I'll blink a few times
Take a look around to see
If you're really there,
Are you really there?
Have you jumped out of a dream
Or if it was going badly
Have you come to rescue me?
I'm walking out, it's afternoon
Trying to keep sight of you
But it would seem that you have disappeared
And as I sit down by my lonesome
Stare into the crowd
You tiptoe right, by my side
Where did you come from now
But you'll be there, in my lonesome
Smiling down at me
And then I'll blink a few times
Take a look around to see
If you're really there,
Are you really there?
Has it really been three years
I had never been prepared
But you've taken over me
So I'll fly down to your place now,
The sun is about leave
I'm calling out your name now,
Open this door for me
It doesn't seem like that a long time
That we complain of flying by
As I stand there I know that I
Have all day ahead of me
And there you are, in the doorway
Smiling back at me
And then I'll blink a few times
Because this feels like a dream
And you'll be there, in the morning
The sunshine in your eyes
With a soft breeze through your hair
And you look beautiful, beautiful
Why am I not surprised
It doesn't seem like that a long time
That we complain of flying by
As I stand there I know that I
Have all of time ahead of me
And I wake up, every morning
Knowing that you're there
As the parade of time goes marching by
We're watching and we don't care
You can close your eyes now
I'm really here,
I'm really here
It's been a year since my lastpoem song-lyric to you. Oh well.
That we complain of flying by
I wake up and I know that I
Have all day ahead of me
And you'll be there, in the morning
Smiling down at me
And then I'll blink a few times
Take a look around to see

Potatoes in my basket and all things lively.
I don't know what I'm doing
And I think I never do
But the things that keep me going
Seem to have a lot to do with you
And if I see no reason, then I often see a rhyme
That's what keeps me singing
Till the end of time
I say!
There are potatoes in my basket and I don't know how they got there
And though I never weighed them I could say they're getting heavier
If you think this has no meaning that's a lot of hot air
See, these people think I'm crazy but, en contraire
I guess I really like you
And that seems quite fair
I tried to study a lot and remember what I read
But it didn't really work out
And that's when people said
Well
No one really said anything, can I pretend?
I didn't really tell them so
I presume that it's my bad.
Hey!
There are potatoes in my basket and I don't know how they got there
And though I never counted them I think that we're one short
To be honest I don't know
Why I have a basket in the first place
All that the circumstances do say
Is that life convolutes a lot
One day you're an aeroplane
The other you are scrap
You may be worthy of the matador
Or just the Spanish snack
It boils down to the question that must surely be asked
Do prefer being skewered or having swords stuck in your ass?
Oi!
There are potatoes in my basket and I don't know how they got there
But some of these cranky tubers would sure like to
I'm as clueless as you are
When you wonder if you're at par
With everybody in the world and if there's anything that sets you apart?
Can you take a few decades out of your life to shoot to instant fame?
Can you sacrifice some of your brawn to gain a little brain?
Is it really true that we could be all the same?
Is it true that we are all the same
If you looked from far enough away?
We're just all same
There are potatoes in my basket and I can't tell them apart
Unless I look a little closer
And make a fresh start
At them
Again
It's so easy to forget it all and to watch you smile
And I think I never do
But the things that keep me going
Seem to have a lot to do with you
And if I see no reason, then I often see a rhyme
That's what keeps me singing
Till the end of time

It's so easy to forget it all and to watch you smile
Everything you do to me
Makes it worth the while
And this while will last forever
And I do not mind
Let me take you somewhere, touched not by time
And let's see what we find
In each other
Here I am singing a song
That changes its tune far too often
But there are lots of words that rhyme,
And it's all I have to offer
And it goes on for too long
Aye,
I don't how I got a basket-in-the-first-place
And I know that I make no sense
These are strange circumstances
But there are potatoes in my basket
And I don't know how they got there.
And this while will last forever
And I do not mind
Let me take you somewhere, touched not by time
And let's see what we find

I wrote this at intervals of cheese popcorn, noodles, soan papdi and the movie Snatch. Which would answer your question: "What the fuck?"

Half
It's quite cold today
The clouds just won't let go of the sun
Better than yesterday
I felt my hand would go numb
Why can't these days become
Any better
Oh they just can't get better
They just can't get better
No
Wanted to walk near the flowers today
But there's an angry hive loose in the air
A bear stole some honey
A cat was sitting right there
And it had to run
Why can't these days become
Any better
Oh they just can't get any better
They just can't get any better
'Cause I, just remembered you..
Hidden in these words is a smile
And it's wide, and it's mine and it's mine
Pronounced everytime, I say I love you
Properly true,
Yes I love you..
Sweet love of mine, yes I love you..
Inside, a troupe is playin hard,
Xylophones and harmonica
Pity you'll never get to hear it
Rhythm of me heart might let you feel it
It's such a weird sensation
Nested deep in oconversations
Crying out loud to be heard
Ends up manifesting itself in words
Seldom does it betray it's meaning
Shows just a feeling, a hint of feeling..
Wanted to buy you some chocolates today
And a heart shaped sweet bun
And wrap it all up with a bouquet
But the streets caught fire
And my plans were done
Oh, why oh why, can't these days become
Any better
Oh I know they just can't get any better
I know they just can't get any better
The clouds just won't let go of the sun
Better than yesterday
I felt my hand would go numb
Why can't these days become
Any better
Oh they just can't get better
They just can't get better

My Day
No matter what I've got
Or what I've let go
No matter what I've given
There's something more you should know
No matter where you are
Or where you will be
I know where we've been
And the places we've to see
Many roads to cross ahead and
Many rivers to swim
I'd do it all holding your hand
And fly with the wind
Sometimes I feel I've had it all
And there's more to come
Maybe I've gone through it all
And have nowhere left to run
I ain't asking for too much more
It's well within my right
I just want some sunshine through my window
Is it so hard to come by?
I just want some sunshine through my window
And I find it in your smile
And I find it in your smile
No matter how dark the days could be
Or how quiet the night
No matter if I have nothing left
To live the same life
No matter which way the earth would spin
Or how far away I'd find my home
If I lose all my words to sing
Lose faith in the love above
If I see through all of time
And if I stand to lose
If I give up all my life
With nothing to choose
I know I do it all because
I've made up my mind
There may be many treasures but
You're the only gem I'd ever try to find
And I just want some
Sunshine through my window
Is it so hard to come by?
I just want some sunshine through my window
And I find it in your smile
I just want some sunshine through my window
And I find it in your smile
I'd die for you
I live for you
I do everything I do for you
Hold you in my arms and tell you the truth
And you've always known how much I love you
I do everthing that I do
I do for you
Or what I've let go
No matter what I've given
There's something more you should know
No matter where you are
Or where you will be
I know where we've been
And the places we've to see

Guess
There are many things to sing about
And then there are some
That you might want to lend tune to
But you don't want them sung
There are many things to talk about
And the things you don't want to tell
You really want to be asked for those
Because you've got to say it to them
It isn't that easy to read a mind
It's difficult stayin alive
If you're guessing all the time
If you ain't gettin it right anytime
Hey hey is it clear as day
Or maybe a stormy afternoon
When you have to your coat to your sides
From the moment the wind blew
It's as clear
As a stormy gale
As a meteor shower in spring
It's okay
We'l go our way
And exercise our brains
He said he wanted to
She asked if he really wanted to
He said he really wanted to
But he really didn't
She asked if he really wanted to
For she couldn't believe he really wanted to
He said said that he really wanted
Because he thought she wanted him to say how much he did
It isn't that easy to read a mind
It's difficult stayin alive
If you're guessing all the time
If you're gettin it wrong all the time
It's as clear
As a stormy gale
As a meteor shower in spring
It's okay
We'l go our way
And exercise our brains
He didn't do his homework
And she signed him a note
She'd never really call on him again
But his poor heart broke
And he was better than ever
Every other day
And she knew and she knew
She'd had her way
And how he loved her for it
He could still play
And sometimes everything we want
We want it done some other way
To show that it's not really what we said
Give me a moment with my head
Don't do what they ask you to
Cuz they don't have a clue
Cuz you know that they don't know what they want
You don't know what they want
Nobody knows what we want
But we say things all the same
Hey hey hey
I don't really like what you're doing
But then who am I foolin
Maybe this is really what I wanted
No way
So I sing
Night and day
It isn't that easy to read a mind
It's difficult stayin alive
If you're guessing all the time
If you ain't gettin it right anytime
It's as clear
As a stormy gale
As a meteor shower in spring
It's okay
We'l go our way
And exercise our brains
So let's just say
We don't know Nothin
We just don't know Anything
I really don't know what you mean
But I'm with you all the same
Because even if I could pretend
That I can use my head
I'd just be wrong again
I'd just be wrong again
It's okay
We'l go our way
And exercise our brains
And then there are some

Muddled minds create muddled songs
For the record almost the entire song, as it is before you, came to me in a dream. Neat:)
